Early Morning House Fire in the Borough
Sun. Mar 30th 2014

Around daybreak Phoenixville Task Force units (Phoenixville, Black Rock, Kimberton, Valley Forge) were dispatched to a report of a house fire on the 300 block of Church Street in the Borough.  First-in units arrived to find fire showing from the roof of a triple row home on Bridge Street.  Captain 65 requested a Working Fire Dispatch bringing a RIT assignment, air bank, and an additional Ambulance.  It took about an hour to bring the fire under control after the fire was fully extinguished and confirmation of no further extension.  County Fire Marshals are investigating the cause of the fire.

The Fire Station was opened up so residents could get warm while working with the Red Cross for further assistance.  Units from Royersford and Spring City were covering the area until Phoenixville units cleared the scene.  Thank you to Berwyn Fire Company for making their inaugural RIT assignment into the Borough.
